No, seriously! Before stumbling across this article published by Real Simple Magazine (thanks to a tip on Twitter, no less!), I would spend at least an hour every day avoiding my housework. I was always tripping over stuff, finding mystery sticky spots, and generally lamenting over how my beautiful children and fabulous husband could be so very opposite to neat-freak me.
Thanks to this article, I seriously can clean my entire house in under an hour a week. It takes me less than 15 mins a day to maintain it. And best of all, it inspires me to keep the clutter under control.
(Except for my basement. The less said about the basement, the better! That's a New Year's project!)
I encourage you to go check out this article. Print it out. Stick it in a binder or somewhere convenient for you to refer to each week. I will be honest. The first week took a little longer, mainly because I had to start from scratch, AND I had just gotten over pneumonia, and who seriously cleans their house when their doctor tells them not to? I'm not totally crazy!
But that first day is totally worth it. Before you know it, your house will be on self-clean, leaving you more time for the fun stuff in life. Like praying for the complete healing of your dead PC.
