Day of Gratitude
*I originally posted this last month for Thanksgiving up here in Canada. I'm reposting today for the Internet Cafe's Day of Gratitude.*
This weekend is Thanksgiving up here in Canada. I'm going to assume that's because it's way too cold here by November for anyone to harvest anything, and thus our forefathers decided to celebrate a month early. Although I'm sure there's a real reason out there, I'm just too lazy to look it up!
This weekend my oldest daughter, Emma, left a sweet little note on our pillow listing all the reasons she is thankful we are her parents. What a sweetie! Emma is our celebrator - she loves any and every holiday, and makes sure she commemorates it with various decorations, cards, and other sundries to make the day more special. For her, the holidays are made even more so when the entire extended family can get together to eat. Family is everything to my girl.
I decided to take a cue from her and wrote little notes to each member of our household listing all the reasons I am thankful for them. I can't wait to give them to my loved ones! They're nothing fancy - just a little piece of paper with some writing on them - but the heart of the words is what makes them beautiful.
Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving with me this month, or next, make sure you take the time to let those close to you know why you're thankful for them.
They'll be sure to thank you for it!
Happy Thanksgiving!

What a sweet way to celebrate. So, now I've just discovered you and you're moving. Let me know where you're going. I'll drop by.
